Gate to magic Femundsmarka

Exactly here, at this saddle between Elgå and Svukuriset, my incurable addiction started in August 2000. I was teenager from central Europe, dreaming since childhood about Alaska, who hitchhiked to Norway for the first time. And suddenly... The scenery from my childhood dreams emerged in front of my eyes and I was just standing here, like this girl, and staring and staring at the vast wild landscape in front of me. One of the most influential moments in my life. So many things have totally changed, after first harsh (because of billions of mosquitos and no repellent) but incredibly beautiful crossig the whole Femundsmarka.

For me personally (even after seeing so many fantastic places in all of Norway), the deepest and wildest part of Femundsmarka is DEFINITELY the most impressive part of the whole Scandinavia..
